SO IS EVERY STORY YOU TELL
You pick up your phone and take a photo. Simple enough.
But every image you make is a choice, what to include, what to leave out, whose perspective gets centred, and whose gets erased.
The same thing happens in every meeting, every conversation, every story you tell about the people around you.
Most of us just never stop to look at the lens we're using.
The Five Decisions is a free one-page tool, five questions to ask before you make any image, share any story, or decide whose narrative gets told.
Free. Instant access. No fluff.
Five questions. A completely different way of seeing.

I'm Jen Allison, a TEDx speaker, photographer, and workshop facilitator based in Toronto.
I've spent years watching who controls the frame. In photography. In organizations. In the stories we tell about young people, communities, and each other.
The Five Decisions is the tool I wish everyone had before they hit share.
I respectfully acknowledge that I mainly operate on the traditional territory of the Anishinabewaki ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ, Wendake-Nionwentsïo, Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee), Attiwonderonk (Neutral), Mississauga, and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. This information has been gathered thanks to Native-Land.ca.
Along with this acknowledgement, I offer my gratitude to the First Nations for their care for and teachings about our earth and our relations.
May we honour those teachings daily in our lives.
